STAAD.Pro

The following identifies the new features and enhancements that have been added in STAAD.Pro 2023.00.02. These features have been selected to allow STAAD.Pro to deliver a greater range of capabilities required by engineers around the world.

Additional Standard Section Database Shapes

Cold-formed catalog sections have been added to the standard sections database. American, Chinese, and Indian cold-formed shapes are now available. These include:
  • angles, with or without lips
  • channels, with or without lips
  • zee profiles, with or without lips (including angled lips)
  • hat profiles

Enhancements to Reports

Picture management capabilities have also been added in reporting. An option to generate a table of contents for reports is also available to make larger reports more manageable.

Additionally, steel design reports from numerous additional design codes can now be included in the latest reporting format.

Wind Load for Models with Z-up

Wind loads can now be applied to models with either Y-up (default) or Z-up orientations.

RAM Connection 2023

RAM Connection 2023.00.01 is now supported in STAAD.Pro 2023. The new version of RAM Connection includes new connection types and some interfaces connectors enhancements.

See the full list of RAM Connection 2023 (v23.0.1), 2023 (v23.0), and CONNECT Edition V13 Update 9 (v13.9.0) Release Notes at Bentley Communities.

2016 Edition of the Dutch National Annex to Eurocode 3

An updated version of the Dutch NA to EN-1993-1-1 has been added.

Chinese Cold-formed Steel Design

The design of cold-formed steel members per GB 50018-2002 has been added to the Chinese Steel Design workflow. The parameter sets are specific to the code selection made and then the design operation is performed for all members for both codes.

Effective Length Calculator for Steel Design

A new tool has been added for automatically calculating the effective length related design parameters (KY, KZ, LY, and LZ parameters) used for batch steel design.

Enclosed Zone Loading along Global Directions

In addition to applying enclosed zone loads normal to the area of the zone definition, you may now apply these loads parallel to global model axes.
